Planting

Plant your Tricyrtis in a fairly shady to shady situation.

In their natural environment, tricyrtis grow in rather damp areas, at the edge of woods, in the plains or mountains. In the garden, they can also be grown in a shady bed or rockery. It can also be grown in pots.

Place it in cool, humus-rich, neutral or slightly acidic soil, sheltered from the wind that blows down the tall flower stems.

Flowering will be later if the summer is dry, returning with the September rains, which is not too bad in regions where the autumn is mild and long.
